Safety and maintenance of your Candle Lamps

Safety Precautions:

  • Exercise caution when using or lighting any type of candle with a match.
  • Never drop a match or other debris onto the candle- this will subject the candle lamp to additional heat stress and potential damage
  • IMPORTANT: Polycarbonate filters are NOT flameproof, and will burn if put directly into flame

Maintenance and Care

  • Never pull out a liquid wax cartridge wick to increase the size of the flame- changing the length will actually decrease the burn time.
  • Glass should be cleaned with warm water & detergent to avoid stress breakage due to fluctuating temperatures.
  • Never put glass globes or other lamps in a dishwasher.
  • Metal bases should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the protective lacquer coating Lamp bases can be cleaned with a mild detergent and water. Do not use an abrasive scourer or cleanser.
  • For polishing, standard brass or chrome products are fine - just follow the instructions for use on the product you choose.
  • Fabric shades are not dishwater safe - use a mild detergent and cloth for cleaning
